A clearer path to your next matcha.

Where is my matcha? helps home drinkers find a Japanese matcha powder, understand its identity, and read first-hand tasting experiences.

Facts with a source trail

We separate the maker, original Japanese name, search aliases, and package sizes. Published facts carry source links and check dates. Unknown cultivar or harvest information stays unknown. Translated descriptions and search transliterations across our supported languages are editorial work, not official maker names.

Original product and maker names, source quotations, and member reviews remain in their original language. Editorial translations are separate from source material and members’ own words.

The catalog contains 302 matcha products. It does not cover every Japanese matcha. Listed package variants may be incomplete.

One person, one tasting review

Anyone can read. Members can share a 1–5 star rating, preparation method, and short opinion, with one editable review per product. New or edited reviews wait for moderation. Only approved reviews affect the displayed average; external website scores are not imported.

Reviewers confirm that they tasted the product and disclose gifts, samples, or work with a brand. This is self-attestation, not purchase verification. Moderators can hide spam, harassment, or irrelevant content.

Images and identification

A photograph on a maker’s website does not give us permission to reuse it.
